Accept The Gift

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Obviously, the greatest miracle of all, salvation is a gift. We can't work out our good work or to fulfill all religious requirement to be right with God. It is a gift. What we can do is to accept the gift. The fulfillment of the law had been accomplished by Jesus at the cross. With the completed work at the cross, an divine exchange had taken place and Christians are made righteous.

With this perfect gift comes health and prosperity. With this perfect gift comes healthy relationship with loved ones. With this perfect gift comes peace of the heart and a sound mind. With this perfect gift comes all things working for good of a Christian.

Accept the perfect gift freely, without any justification on our side. For it is Christ who justifies us to be right with God. It is Christ who sacrificed His body for us to have robust health. It is Christ who was made poor at the cross that we through His poverty might be made rich. It is Christ who was left alone on the cross and proclaimed that His disciple John had His mother as his mother. It is Christ who bequeathed His peace before His crucification for us to have perfect peace of heart. It is Christ who had given us a sound mind for his mind was tortured on our behalf. For His perfect love had casted out all fear in our lives.

Freely received what God had freely given as a gift. Accept the gift freely. Rejoice in the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross. Hallelujah!

Rest on Sunday only?

Many, if not all, of us are lifted in our spirit when we attend church service where the Word of God is been preached and taught. At the church service, we believe every word of the bible that is been preached. We don't doubt that our negative circumstances will turn around for the better. It is like we are able to rest at the end of the pool after a long swim across the pool.

The challenge comes when it is Monday. We forget about the precious word of God that has been preached. We quickly forget that Jesus is doing mighty work in our lives. We focus on our natural senses and see our challenges bigger than Jesus.

Then comes Tuesday, Wednesday, and all the way to Saturday. We use our natural resources to deal with our situations. There is no God's involvement in all the things that we do. We feel we have to get things done if not nobody will turn things around. We live lives like there is no God. It is like we just continue to swim across the pool all over again. We don't stop to rest cause we can't rest at the deep end of the pool.

God wants us to be at rest. Jesus had bequeathed His peace into our lives. Guard your heart against all guardings for out of it springs forth the issues of life. Keep your heart at rest and peace. When we are restful, God works "overtime" to turn our situations for our good. Praise be to God, for He is good. His mercy endures forever.

Faith to faith

Therefore faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of Christ. We can hear ourselves back to faith but we cannot psych ourselves back to faith.

When we see the grace of God, He sees us in our faith. By beholding Jesus and His finished work at the cross, we will have a "big" consciousness of who we are in Christ and what's our real identity in Christ. Also, when we meditate on His word, we will have a revelation of who Christ is in our lives.

There is no point in striving to achieve success by our natural effort only to find out that it is bad success later on. When we work from a rest perspective, the Lord Jesus will give us success beyond our imaginations. He will make our paths straight and He will put us at the right place and time.

Our job is to believe God is good to us. He had adopted us as sons into His kingdom through the finished work at the cross and by our confession that Jesus is Lord. The greatest miracle is achieved by believing and speaking, what more the "lesser" miracle of health and wealth.

Guard your heart!

Guard your heart above all guardings for out of it springs the issues of life. Jesus tells us in His word not to take thought for tomorrow or be worrisome or anxious over issues, for His grace is sufficient for the day.

The word also tells us not to fear the treats of the devil, for Jesus had taken the power of the world from him and had given this power to us to reign in this world. The more we are able to guard our hearts against the evil thoughts, the more we will see God's manifestation outwardly in our lives.

The areas that we can let go and let God are the areas that God's grace can flow through easily. The areas which we worry or be in a state of fear, are the areas which we restrict the flow of God's grace, even though God is blessing us all the time.
