Praise the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures forever!

And he said, " Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: 'Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's. Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! ' Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you." - 2 Chronicles 20:15-17

When King Jehoshaphat was surrounded by a great multitude from Syria, he sought the Lord and the Lord told the king and his people not to be afraid for the battle belonged to the Lord. Then King Jehoshaphat sent his appointed people to sing praises to the Lord. To cut the long story short, King Jehoshaphat and his people spent three days to collect their spoil from their enemies! The Lord has indeed fought the battle on their behalf.

In the midst of our adversity, it is the Lord who will fight our battle. At the cross, it was Jesus, the sacrificial Lamb, who was crucified. It is Jesus and Jesus alone who is worthy to be our kinsmen redeemer and He had accomplished a completely complete work at the cross. All our sins are forgiven and He had given us His righteousness. Those who accepts His gift of salvation are made the righteousness of God in Christ!

The good Lord tells us to be restful in His love for us and to be constanlty mindful of His finished work at the cross. In spite of all the negativties around us, we are to simply look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of faith. Look upon Him and rest at His feet for He cares deeply for us. He is more than willing to fight our battle and to give us the victory which He has already won.

Give Him all the praises and worships Him every moment we are conscious of His victory over the evil one. When we give praise to Jesus and worship Him, peace will reign in our hearts and minds. His shalom peace will permeate to every cell of our bodies. Wholeness springs out of our bodies and living waters flow un-hindered from our bellies.

We then can see things through the eyes of our Lord. We will see things with a victorious eye. We starts seeing victory in our hearts and subsequently we see victory in the natural realm. We feel peace within in spite of the chaos that surround us. And when we pray in tongues, aggressive peace with arrest our hearts! And the Holy Spirit prays on our behalf when we pray in tongues. Give all the praises to Jesus for He alone is worthy of all our praises.

Give thanks continuously. For God can turn all things for our good. Even when you think you have come to the end of the rope, give thanks to God and praise Jesus for He is good and His love endures forever. Hallelujah!

Born of the Spirit

Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. - John 3:5-6

Whoever is born of the Spirit is of the Spirit and whoever is born of the flesh is of the flesh. Simply put: those who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior are those who are born of the Spirit. And whoever is born of the Spirit does not belong to the fleshly realm for he/she now belongs to the Kingdom of heaven. He/she is a citizen of heaven. While he/she is in the world, that person is not of the world for he/she is in Christ.

Those born of the Spirit have their true identity in Christ. And in Christ, they are new men for old things have passed away and all things are new. The old man has been crucified at the cross with Christ and behold the new man is risen with Christ and now seated at the right hand of God. We are made as one with God through the finished work of Jesus at the cross. When Jesus shouted with a loud voice, "It is finished!", all our sins have been forgiven and we are made the righteousness of God in Christ! As Christ is, so are we in this world.

The bible tells us we will still face trials and prosecutions for His name sake. We can take heart and be comforted knowing that Jesus has overcome the world and whatever trial or prosecution that makes inroad into our lives, Christ has already overcome them. Jesus already has the answer to our every problem or challenge. Rest in His love for us and trust in His work which He is working mightily on our behalf. Cast all our cares at the feet of Jesus for He cares and is more than willing to take care of them.

When we are in Christ and practise the presence of Jesus in our lives every moment, the shalom of God will fill our hearts and minds. His wisdom will guide us to victory through the Holy Spirit. We can be anxious for nothing and in everything, in prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, we can let our request be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guide our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus!

While we may still rely on our own strength to overcome a problem that comes our way,  God wants us to look to His answer to that problem instead. For His solution is perfect and His timing is always on time. Don't try to use the arm of flesh to overcome or challenges for nothing good will come out of fleshly effort. We may experience short term success but the fruit of relying on God's divine provision is eternal and very good.

When Moses was a Prince in Egypt, he was not able to even properly bury an Egyptian, who had tortured his people, after he had killed him. When Moses just trust in the mighty hand of God to deliver them out of Egypt, the whole Egyptian arm was buried under the sea. When Abraham used his fleshly effort to produce a child, the outcome was Ishmael who is weak and beggarly. When Abraham believed God and His promise in his life, the fruit was Isaac who was strong and the heir to Abraham's riches.

Beloveds of the Lord, lets put our trust in God. Lets simply believe in His love for us. Hallelujah!

Just when you think things can't get any better

While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, " Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?" As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, " Do not be afraid; only believe." - Mark 5:35-36

Jairus, the ruler of the synagogue came to Jesus to beg Him to follow him to his home to heal his ailing daughter. While Jesus and Jairus were making their way towards Jairus' house, Jesus stopped in His track to minister to a woman who had the issue of blood for twelve years. Jesus took time to assure the woman that she was completely made whole and told her to go into shalom.

Just about that moment, some came to inform Jairus that his daughter had died. It was the worst news that Jaiirus wanted to hear at that time. His heart probably sank to the deepest ocean. He would have felt his whole world collapsing on him right at that very moment. He might have thought Jesus shouldn't have stopped to talk to the woman for every second counted for him.

Jesus, the coolest being on earth, the Prince of peace, just simply assured Jairus not to be afraid and just believed. And when Jesus had arrived at Jairus' house, he commanded all the "professional" mourners to leave the room and brought only the parents and His three disciples, Peter, James and John. He commanded the little to arise and she arose from the dead that very moment!

When Jairus heard the news of his daughter's death, he would have thought that was the end of his daughter's life. That would mean the end of a potential long life where he can shower all his love upon his precious daughter. That would mean a part of him had died as well. He would have lamented that Jesus was too late!

Far be it. Jesus always knows what He is doing and what He is going to do. He is cool and collected all the time. His timing is ALWAYS PERFECT! While we may think at times that Jesus is late in delivering us out of our predicament, His deliverance is always right on target! And it is exactly what He wants to accomplish in our lives.

While waiting upon The Lord for the manifestation of our miracles, the bible teaches us to cast out all the "rubbish" from our mind in the spirit. That is to continually repent our minds to focus upon Jesus. To fix our eyes upon Him. To behold His beauty and His finished work at the cross. To keep thanking Jesus for the miracles for He loves to see us living a life stress-free and care-less in this world for as He is so are we in this world.

Stop thinking that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Starts thanking Jesus for what He has done and is doing in our lives. Many a time, Jesus delivers us from harm that we are not aware of. Give Him praise. Behold Jesus and see Him performing the miracles in our lives. Hallelujah!
