God of abundance

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! - Matthew 7:11

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? - Romans 8:32

God is the God of abundance and not a God of lack. God created the Heavens and earth and has His children to have dominion over the universe and to reign in this lifetime. He wants His children to be abundantly supplied for and be lacking in nothing. For the bible tells us the Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want (Psalm 23:1). The bible also tells us that God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19)

Yet we see Christians living lives thinking they have to fend for themselves. They think God is always demanding from them. They think they will have to behave for God to bless them and supply to them. They think by obeying the Ten Commandments they will merit God's blessings and prosperity will flow into their lives. They have the perception that God is on a sin hunt when God is actually looking at ways to bless us and to prosper us and to lead us to the place where we should go.

For the bibles says Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2). God's heart is to see us prospering as our souls prosper. He loves to see us having a BIG revelation of His love for us and the finished work of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, at the cross. He wants us to know without a doubt how much He loves us and wants to provide, with more than enough to be a blessing, us with all sufficiency.

It is because of the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ at the cross that qualifies us to be right with God. It is His single sacrifice that saves us from eternal demnation. It is His precious blood that was shed for our righteousness. It is His body which bore our diseases and pains and sorrows. It is the Lion of Judah that willingly gave up His life at the cross. It is the sacrificial Lamb of God who took our place at the cross. It is Lord Jesus and Him only at the cross.

We need to repent in our way we see God. God is a loving God. He only has good thoughts toward us and plans to make us a success. He says our future is bright for He has gone ahead of our future and He says it is good. Rest in His unfailing love towards us. Lean "hard" on Jesus' bosom. Feel His very hearbeat of love for us.

The God of all creations has so much to bless that He wishes more of us will take more from Him. His supply is unlimited. He can bless us with more than enough and still have plenty to bless others with. That is our God of abundance! He is El Shaddai! Hallelujah!
